Applying global filters

With the exception of the Dashboard, you can apply global filters to restrict actions to a subset of your assets in each VisionLink Unified Fleet feature. For example, you can filter your assets by geofence, product family, location, etc., in the Fleet Summary and focus on the same filtered set of assets in Utilization and Asset Operation.

You can apply multiple filters, which remain in effect until you clear or change them.

If you bookmark your VisionLink Unified Fleet URL, applied filters persist between features and sessions. For example, you will be working with the same filtered set of assets:

  • if you apply filters in a VisionLink Unified Fleet feature, select an asset to view details, and return to the original feature or navigate to another feature.
  • if you apply filters, then log out and log back into VisionLink Unified Fleet.

Note – Only groups and geofences that have been marked as Favorites appear in VisionLink Unified Fleet filters and maps. For instructions, see the VisionLink Administrator Help.

  1. Select the Global Filter icon .
  2. Select the filters from the filter category drop-down lists. Use Predictive Search to select multiple filters in the same filter categories. Deleting the entry in the Predictive Search text box brings back the entire filter category list. In addition, a sort feature can be used to sort filters in ascending and descending order. The sort feature can be used independently of or in conjunction with the Predictive Search feature.
  1. Select OK to apply the filters. The number next to the Global Filter icon indicates how many filters are applied (excluding the Date Range filter).

Note – You cannot set a date range in the Fleet Summary.

  1. To clear filters, do any of the following:
  • Clear all or select filters in the Filter window
  • Clear all or select filters in the filter category drop-down lists in the Filter window
  • Select Refine and clear all or select filters

Note – If you clear the Date Range filter, it will reset to the current week.
